A presentation is when you plan and deliver spoken information to an audience — a skill you use all through school, work and life. A good presentation has a clear beginning (say what you'll talk about), a middle (your main points, in a sensible order), and an end (a short wrap-up). Delivery matters just as much: speak clearly and not too fast, look up at your audience rather than reading the whole time, and use your voice to keep them interested. Practising out loud beforehand makes a huge difference. This one is a speak-it-out activity, not a quiz. With a parent or family member as your audience, try this: choose something you know well — a hobby, a favourite animal, a book, or how to do something. Plan three main points, then give a short talk (about one to three minutes) out loud. Remember to speak clearly, look up at your audience, and finish with a sentence that wraps it up. Afterwards, ask your audience for one thing you did well and one thing to work on. Mark this complete once you've given your presentation.
Example
A simple, strong structure for a talk about your pet dog: Beginning — "Today I'm going to tell you about my dog, Rex." Middle — three points: what he looks like, his funny habits, how you care for him. End — "And that's why Rex is the best part of my day. Thanks for listening!"
