This one is a self-directed speaking-and-listening activity, not a quiz — so there are no questions to answer on screen. Have a short discussion (5-10 minutes) with a family member about a topic you both have an opinion on — a book, a current issue, a decision. Practise real interaction skills: listen fully before responding rather than just waiting for your turn to talk, build on what the other person said ("That's interesting, but what about..."), and if you disagree, explain why respectfully rather than just repeating your original point louder. Afterwards, reflect: did you genuinely listen and respond to what was said, or mostly just wait to share your own view? Mark this complete once you've had your discussion and reflected on it.

Example

Discussing whether a book's ending worked, one person might say "I think it felt rushed," and instead of just disagreeing, the other responds "That's fair — what part specifically felt rushed to you?" before explaining their own view, building a real exchange rather than two people talking past each other.
