This one is a create-and-edit activity, not a quiz — so there are no questions to answer on screen. Write a short hybrid literary text (300-500 words) that deliberately blends two genres or forms — for example, a diary entry that becomes a ghost story, a recipe that's secretly a metaphor for a relationship, or a text-message conversation that tells a complete short story. Experiment with at least one language feature or literary device from what you've studied (extended metaphor, symbolism, varied sentence structures) as you write. Once you have a draft, edit it: read it aloud, check whether the genre blend actually works together rather than feeling like two separate pieces stuck together, and refine your word choices for effect. Mark this complete once you've written and edited your piece.

A student blending a recipe format with a story about grief might structure it as 'ingredients' (memories) and 'method' (how to get through a hard day), using the recipe's clinical, step-by-step language to create an unexpected emotional effect — the hybrid form itself becomes part of the meaning, not just a gimmick.
