Designing your own fitness plan means setting a clear timeframe and specific, realistic goals, then choosing a variety of activities that actually suit your current fitness level, interests and access to equipment or space. As you participate in physical activity, paying attention to your body's responses — heart rate, breathing, ability to hold a conversation, and how quickly you recover afterward — helps you understand and adjust the intensity of what you're doing over time. For this activity, design and carry out a short personal fitness plan: choose a timeframe (even just one week), set 1-2 specific goals, select a mix of activities, participate in at least one session with a family member or friend, and reflect honestly on how your body responded and what you'd adjust next time. Mark this complete once you've planned, carried out and reflected on your mini fitness plan.
Example
A one-week plan might set the goal "be able to jog for 10 minutes without stopping by the end of the week," starting with a 5-minute jog/walk mix on day one and gradually increasing the jogging portion each session, while tracking how breathing and recovery time change as fitness builds.
